Sash windows are possibly the most stylish of all windows and whenever possible an original sash should be replaced with a replica set as near to possible to the original. Over the years wood frames can become tired after being constantly battered by the elements and unfortunately there is only so many times that repairs can be undertaken before the frames need to be changed.

Solid hard wood replacements can be very expensive and the craftsman usually will be working to order, and bespoke hardwood frames plus design and build are not that economical if you are working to a budget. So what do you do? You want to be in keeping with the original features and the uniform of the rest of the houses on your street but commissioning hardwood sash windows are not an option; UPVc replicas.

Here at Truro we have fitted many sash replacements in South Cornwall and the surrounding area in UPVc with excellent results. To the untrained eye the window frames fit right in and without close inspection it is hard to differentiate between the plastic and their hardwood cousins. The double glazing is discrete whilst providing you with a superb level of sealing, keeping the noise out and the heat in.
